meant to be museums and whilst certain individual buildings should
be preserved without change, the city must be allowed to grow
and adapt. The trick is how this can be done, preserving the character
& beauty of the old, whilst allowing in the new. Making new
buildings look like they were built 200 years ago, doesn’t
